CALL TO USERS – APPOINTMENT COMMITTEE GROUP C

Under section 4.23 of the Québec Port Authority’s letters patent, recommendations for nominations for four (4) of the seven (7) Board of Directors positions should be conducted in consultation with users. This year we have three (3) positions that are or become open. To this end, we must for an Nominating Committee consisting of nine (9) members, four (4) from Group A, three (3) from Group B and two (2) from Group C, as defined below:

· Category “A”: Users who have a lease with the Port of Québec and who pay annual fees or royalties of more than $844,444.22 to the Port, as indexed (election of 4 representatives on the Appointment Committee).
· Category “B”: Users who have a lease with the Port of Québec and who pay annual fees or royalties between $84,442.17 and $844,444.22 to the Port, as indexed (election of 3 representatives on the Appointment Committee).
· Category C All other users (election of 2 representatives on the Appointment Committee)
· Definition of user – Section 5 of the Canada Marine Act: “in respect of a port, means a person that makes commercial use of, or provides services at, the port. (utilisateur)”

The Québec Port Authority is calling you to a meeting of Group C users to elect two (2) representatives to serve on the Appointment Committee.
The present summons arises from the fact that the mandates of Madame Marie-Huguette Cormier and Edwin Bourget will expire on July 19 and October 10, 2024, respectively, and since Denis Desbiens' will still be waiting for replacement by the Minister since May 8, 2022, a new consultation process will be initiated. For each position, the committee will have to propose two (2) to three (3) nominations.

Place: Visioconference
