EcoCargo Program: Let’s Move Forward Responsibly

The Port of Québec has set up the EcoCargo program to encourage shipowners to adopt environmentally friendly practices and therefore reduce their ecological footprint.

For the Port of Québec, environmental management is more than an obligation: it’s a civic responsibility and a business priority. We believe that the long-term development of the maritime industry is directly linked to the way it takes care of the environment as it does business.

For that reason, the QPA has set itself the goal of constantly improving environmental performance throughout the Port, as set out in the ESGSD plan.

EcoCargo is an incentive program that offers discounts of up to 15% on harbour dues to shipowners who adopt environmentally responsible practices. Discounts are based on the highest Green Marine or RightShip score achieved.
