Things are moving this winter at the Port of Québec
Québec City, December 10, 2025 – The Port of Québec is coming alive to offer an unforgettable winter experience. With a diverse program and exciting new attractions, the port area is becoming a must-visit destination for citizens and visitors seeking discovery and fun.
These projects are part of our 2035 Vision, which emphasizes community engagement, optimizing port area development, and creating spaces dedicated to the population.
Discoglace: A Festive Skating Rink
Starting December 20, experience the Discoglace of the Port of Québec, a brand-new outdoor skating rink featuring lighting and lively music. Skate under vibrant lights to rhythmic tunes that change according to themed evenings. A unique and exciting experience for all ages!
Village Nordik: Ice Fishing in the City
On February 7, the Village Nordik of the Port of Québec will open its doors, transforming the Louise Basin into a true winter wonderland. Ice fishing, family activities, and a cozy chalet will be available to provide citizens and visitors with a memorable winter experience.
New Permanent Technological and Educational Experiences
Coinciding with the start of the winter season, the Port of Québec is laumching the first phase of its new network of interactive kiosks. These modern tools will provide an immersive experience into port operations and the maritime world, accessible to everyone with rich and captivating content.
Winter Cruises: A Historic First
In January, the Port will welcome winter cruises for the first time, offering a rare opportunity to discover the beauty of the frozen river and the snow-covered city. This new initiative is expected to attract an international clientele and enhance Québec’s reputation as a winter tourist destination.
