The Port of Québec Invites The Public to the 2024 Family Maritime Festival

THE PORT OF QUÉBEC INVITES THE PUBLIC TO THE 2024 FAMILY MARITIME FESTIVAL
Québec, September 6th, 2024 — The Port of Québec, in collaboration with the port and maritime community, invites the public to its Family Maritime Festival, which will take place on Saturday, September 7th. The event will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Pointe-à-Carcy sector, near the Agora of the Port of Québec. In a festive atmosphere, inflatable games, face painting for children, ice cream, street entertainment, and many other activities will be available. In addition, citizens will have the opportunity to explore interactive booths offered by our numerous partners and port operators to discover various aspects of the maritime world.

Experience Maritime Adventures
In addition to the fun activities, a special draw will give several lucky winners the chance to experience unique and never-before-seen adventures, offering an unprecedented perspective of the port and its operations. Among the prizes, you’ll find:
•    Holland America Line / Prestige visit: a VIP experience onboard – A family (four people) will have the chance to visit a cruise ship and enjoy a meal onboard.
•    Maritime Simulation and Resource Centre / On course: become a pilot for a day – A family (four people) will have the opportunity to try the navigation simulator and get familiar with piloting.
•    Coast Guard / Polar exploration: discover an icebreaker – A family (four to six people) will enjoy a privileged visit aboard an icebreaker.
•    Groupe Océan / At the heart of port operations – A family (four to six people) will be able to visit a tugboat and discover the importance of the crew’s work.
•    Artisans du Saint-Laurent / Set Sail for the Port – Onboard a handcrafted sail rowboat, two families (four to six people each) will tour the Port of Québec with the Port Master.
These experiences are designed to offer winners privileged access behind the scenes of the maritime world.
